His vision was to make golf travel in Ireland as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, giving every golfer the chance to play their dream courses at their own pace.

Unlike standard travel agents who sell fixed golf packages, Golden Golf Holidays creates custom golf tours of Ireland built around your personal preferences. Whether you want to tee off at world-famous links like Ballybunion or discover hidden gem golf courses in Ireland, we’ll design the perfect itinerary — complete with accommodation, transport, and local recommendations.

Irish golf is more than just the game itself — it’s a gateway to the island’s rich culture, history, music, and traditions. We don’t just want you to play Ireland’s most beautiful courses; we want you to immerse yourself in authentic Irish life, from the warm welcome in local pubs to the sound of live traditional music echoing through the evening air.

With vibrant nightlife, friendly locals, and unforgettable coastal scenery, your Irish golf holiday with Golden Golf Holidays will be as memorable off the course as it is on the fairways.

7 things not to forget for your Irish Golf Trip ☘️

1. Waterproof Golf Gear

If there’s one guarantee about golfing in Ireland, it’s that you’ll encounter a bit of rain. Pack a high-quality waterproof jacket and trousers, a rain hat, and an umbrella built to handle coastal winds. Staying dry means staying focused on your game.

2. Extra Golf Gloves and Socks

Ireland’s moisture can wreak havoc on your grip and comfort. Bring multiple pairs of golf gloves, ideally rain-ready ones, and extra moisture-wicking socks to keep your feet happy after 18 holes.

3. Layered Clothing for All Seasons

Irish weather can change in minutes. Dress in light, breathable layers — base layer, mid-layer, and windproof top — so you can adjust easily when the sun peeks out or the wind picks up on the fairway.

4. Golf Shoe Backup

Links golf can be wet and sandy, so having a second pair of golf shoes is invaluable. Alternate pairs each day to keep them dry and fresh.

5. Travel Adapters & Power Bank

Ireland uses Type G plugs (same as the UK). Don’t forget your travel adapter, and bring a power bank to keep your phone, GPS watch, or rangefinder charged through a long day on the course.

6. Club Travel Protection

If you’re flying into Dublin, Shannon, or Belfast, make sure your clubs are well protected. Use a sturdy travel case, add a club protector rod, and clearly label your bag. Golf clubs are precious cargo!

7. Cash for Caddies and Clubhouses

While most Irish golf clubs accept cards, caddies and small clubhouses often prefer cash. Bring a mix of euros (and pounds if visiting Northern Ireland) for tips, snacks, and a pint after your round.

Bonus Tip: Plan for More Than Golf

Many of Ireland’s top golf courses sit beside stunning coastlines, historic castles, and welcoming pubs. Build time into your itinerary to explore local culture, music, and cuisine — it’s all part of the Irish golf experience.
